Philosophy
The Arkansas Independent Living
Council (AR SILC) is celebrating twenty
years as a non-profit 501 © 3 organization promoting the Independent Living
Philosophy among all individuals with disabilities.
Will you join us in our celebration?
To help jumpstart our efforts,
several trainings/events have been planned in
conjunction to this celebration.
- February 9, 2014- Accessible Parking Training for Law Enforcement
- February 20, 2014-Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault against women with disabilities and women who are deaf- Partnership with the Arkansas Coalition against Domestic Violence
- April 16, 2014-Second Annual “Day at the Capitol for People with Disabilities” (Partnership with the Governor’s Commission on People with disabilities and the Centers for Independent Living in Arkansas)
We will
unveil our new logo at a Grand
Reception that will be held in the
Fall 2014. You can email us at arkansasilc@att.net in order to be put on the list
to receive the information once plans are finalized. You do not want to miss this event! The original (20) board members who were part
of the incorporation twenty years ago will be recognized.
A Commemorative Souvenir program
book will be made part of the celebration at the Grand Reception. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
